Just so everyone knows, we still have a ton of work to do before the airplane can fly. I'm technically taking a day off today, but we have a few volunteers here working, so I'm still here in an "advisory" manner. While they're tinkering with the B-24, I'm building a new seat for my little racer.

By the way, I sincerely appreciate everyone's nice comments, while at the same time, I understand that some of you won't be as excited about the new look. That's okay, because everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions. Either way, I think it's great that all of you have continued to follow me through the process of reconfiguring this airplane and I hope that I'll be able to continue keep everyone interested in the remaining work that is to be done.

Gary

Gary,

Fantastic work. I can't wait to see 927 in person. It's good to know that our national heritage is in such capable hands. Thank you for sharing the process with us Keep up the good work.

Chris

Anyone who misses the old Diamond Lil look had several decades to enjoy her. I couldn't help but notice that Lil wasn't attracting too much attention when I saw her at Thunder Over Michigan in 2005...at least not as much attention as Witchcraft was getting. What you've done is essentially give us a whole new airplane to enjoy. You've turned her from the plane that everyone had seen dozens of times to a plane that is now a star attraction again.

Can't wait to see her in the air...and REALLY can't wait to see her in person. Gary and all the others who helped in the transformation of AM927, my hat's off to all of you!! Beautiful work!

Chad Hill (Django on WIX) was the one who designed the nose art. He and his Dad, along with two friends, also painted it on the airplane.

Chad, I'll post the pictures of the process of y'all applying the nose art tomorrow.
