Scott,
One small problem that I seem to have, is that when reading the posts, the text extends right, beyond my screen, meaning that I have to scroll right to read all the message!

This also effects the links on the top right (Usergroups and Log Out buttons) and I wonder if this is this an error with the new system or (more likely) my computer skills? :?

Tony

I'm on several other boards that use this format and I really like them.
One of my favorite features is the View posts since last visit or url http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/search.php?search_id=newposts link when you arrive. It really helps to sort out what's new and what you've already read.

And that I can edit it... I ought to know this format by now.

Keep up the good work.

Ryan

I just discovered this isuue, I'm at work (shhh, don't tell anybody) and I have a 14 in monitor and I'm running into the same issue. I'll look into it. Theres so much you can do with these boards I'm sure theres a solution, the problem is finding it.

Much later, after getting home
I shortened the gfx as a quick fix, I'll make a better gfx this weekend.

At risk of angering the forum administrator, I'm pretty sure the problem lies with the width of Scotts signature graphic.

Please don't boot me.

Can you give me the URL of one of these forums? Might want to ask the admin some questions.

No worries Tom, Actually I think it might be tied to the WIX header graphic. I can't mess with GFX at work (work computer can't handle Photoshop). I plan on messing with it tonight. I am going to test you signature theory in a moment. I want to replace it anyways.

Blimey so this is the new place, I was really fooled by the front page. I was also stuck with myolder book mark.

Great move scott and thanks for all this.

I decided to use the same from page temporarily to ease transition but will be working on designing a new front end this weekend.

One thing I will say is that I feel like this will be more of a "community" than the other board... yeah the other board was great, but it was heavy on the text... this board seems to give the posts some personality and makes it easier for members to add more depth to their online personality!

Hi Scott,
Many thanks for all of your efforts in maintaining and expanding all aspects of the Register/Forums, etc. It's a huge amount of work that you do, and it is appreciated.
Any time that I might be able to help, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Could probably only mainly help with Wirraway or Boomerang information. Will try to add a pic or two of a Spitfire and Wirraway (just linked from the Temora Aviation Musuem website), and see if they appear. Have a great weekend.

Cheers,
Matt

I actually like the format of the new board. I've gotten pretty used to this style, as it seems pretty much every message board is moving to a similar format.

Thats what I've found when researching forum software, nearly all software is similar to this format and those that aren't are usually simplistic and not much of an improvement over the old software. phpbb seems to have a strong developmental community and has numerous features that I liked.
