Probably most of my frustration with this new format, is that I don't know how to run it...... But then I fly 60 year old airplanes too.......

Go figure.......

If you have Internet Explorer cut and paste http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/search.php?search_id=newposts into your browser (or just use that link). Then save it in your "favorites" section. I personally saved mine with the name WIXnew so that whenever I want to read it, I just hit Ctrl+L, type Wixnew, and there the page is!

No problem Doug, I'll be figuring out this software for awhile. To view posts since last visit just make sure your on the index page (click forum index if your not, its just below the P-40's) and you'll see in upper right corner just above the blue bar "View posts since last visit"

If you have any questions feel free to private mail me (PM button at bottom of this message) or you can e-mail me.

The new forum looks great. Not having all the replies listed on the opening page should allow room for more topics per page.

Hi folks. Just thought I would enroll to the Forum at long last! I've been a reader here for quite a while, and now is a good opportunity to try the new Forum out! Like the look of it, well done Scott.

Paul

Oh I am soooo glad this forum has had an upgrade! Was always such a pain to see interesting topics disappear off the front page and die a death because new visitors didn't see them...

That was one of the main limitations of the old software, it was truly annoying.

Well Done Scott

The cookies on my browser seem to reset every 24 hours or so.

The little icons that show where new posts have been made seems to work on the Forum Index page, but when I visit an actual forum, all of them are white. If I come back later, it will then show me the new posts that have been made since earlier in the day, but by the next day the whole process starts over again.

Is there something on my computer that I need to adjust so that the cookies don't reset, or do you think it may be a forum software setting? Thanks!

I'm here.

This works fine on my work computer. It'll be interesting to see at home though!

Thanks (as ever) for all the hard work on making the site so great.

Cheers

Not that I wanna break stones, but I liked the old forum. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Should we start a new revolution like a lot of people are doing at Ebay because of a "new and improved" version of a page?
How about a poll?

I think there is a setting somewhere in the security section of your browser that covers this. The cookies on my work computer reset after every reboot but my home one never resets. Now if I could just find that setting again...
