I'm not dead ;)

Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:31 am

Hi all, just wanted to let you know I'm not dead. I am resuming active work on the Registry and other sections of the site though at a much reduced level. Life snuck up on me last year and I went from being a bachelor with loads of time to engaged with two step sons and nearly no free time. Things are starting to get organized now and I will be resuming working on the site more often as well as my writing.

One problem I recently encountered that delayed my return is my main computer bought the farm via a virus that trashed the drive. This unfortunately took my e-mail with it and the backups are corrupted. So if you sent an e-mail in 2008-2009 to either warbirds or editor "@" warbirdsresourcegroup "dot" org or to submit "@" warbirdregistry "dot" org and I haven't directly responded to you then please send them again. All registry submissions or correction/news items for the registry should be sent to the submit "@" warbirdregistry "dot" org address. Sorry for the inconvenience.

and finally, I am looking for a volunteer who would be interested in aggregating the news items on WIX and any other warbirds related items out on the interwebbatubes for inclusion on Warbirds Online. It pays a WIX sticker and t-shirt but no actual money. You would post links and articles on our Warbirds Online blog so if you know how to blog at all or think you can learn let me know. Thanks.

And you just thought you had been challenged prior to this....The squabbles here in WIX 'taint nothing compared to a couple of crumb snatchers when they go at each other.

Positive thinking for you all and best wishes too...

Scott...I feel your pain! I had a couple of thousand airshow/museum pix stored on a harddrive along with pix of my son from kindergarden through 6th grade...and lost them all when my harddrive was wiped out about 3 years ago. What motivates the dumbasses to send out their viruses is something I cannot begin to understand. I do know that I would love to spend some quality time in a soundproof room, an aluminum basball bat and just one of these friggin idiots that do so much harm to us ordinary people!

(I've had full custody of my now 15 year old son, since he was 5...yeah, kids sure change your perspective on things  )
