Hi,
Just joined - largely because a Google search of some War Dept General Orders led me to someone who had the same Q as me ... and, more importantly, someone here answered him quite helpfully. First, Thank You! I'd append that thread but now I can't find it.

Now I'm trying to post so a reenactor might be able to help me reconstitute Dad's WW2 dress uniform before I put it in a shadow box. (I figure hanging it in the closet for another 65 years is inadequate.) My internet search for a similar uniform for an AAF 1st Lt has helped me get "close." I've got his bars on his shoulders, 2 U.S. and 2 AAF officer (winged) symbols on his collars and lapels, respectively. If that's "correct," I'm focusing on his left pocket area. Specifically, he was a supply officer in the Philippines and later, Japan. Did they wear a supply officer badge above their ribbons then like SUPPOs do these days? If so, what does it look like? Can anyone steer me to a site that might help? (Maybe I need to be on a different part of this site?)

Regards,
Cliff
