I just received some Nigerian 409 type spam. In the introduction it mentioned they got my email from the Warbird Resource Group Forum.

Just a heads up for everyone.

The Nigerians seem to get alot of peoples e-mail addresses. I get offers regularly to have money deposited into my bank account for me to transfer on and receive a nice percentage for my trouble. Also, I work for the US Postal Service and over the last 20 yrs I've seen about a dozen different scams from forwarding your mail for you(even though you haven't moved?!?), tosend ing COD's(cash on delivery) to dozens of people hoping they will pay, no questions asked, to "We want to buy your old upright piano for a movie we are making in Africa. We'll send your payment in US Postal Domestic Money Orders(How DID they get those in Nigeria???!!!!!) There will be enough for your payment, shipping and some extra for you, and this certain shipper we want you to use, for your trouble." Oh, and did I mention they were counterfits, and poorly done at that! It's just mind-boggling what they will do for a scam!

My suggestion if you are worried about spam is to turn off your e-mail address being displayed in your profile.
