Well I just got some bad news, as of Sept. 1st my job is being eliminated and I will be unemployed. The good news is I have until Sept. 1st to prepare. The other guy in my department found out this morning that today was his last day.

As a result my attendance to various airshows will be curtailed. At least half of my trips will be cancelled. Those I will attend will be based on available funds. Hopefully Geneseo and Canada will still be possible but Michigan and Midland are out for me this year.

The bright side of this is that I will probably take the oppurtunity to move to a more Warbird saturated area. Either Florida, Arizona, Texas or California. I have friends and family in those places and If I have to start over I might as well really start over and be closer to the warbirds that I love.

Luckily with the support of our sponsers (ie the google ads) the site is for the most part self sufficient now so there are no worries there.

All in all sucky day but it could be worse.

Well, if you need any help/advice in the land of smog and termites, let me know!

Sorry to hear the bad news Scott.

I'm self employed and the Italian company that I work with, decided in Mid April, to withdraw my contract with two weeks notice :x so at least I can appreciate your situation!

Good luck and here's hoping everything sorts itself out quickly

Tony

Sorry to hear that Tony, I'm sure things will work out, they usually do. I'm more upset over losing the job itself. I got to spend 40 hours a week watching T.V. and working on the site. Now I'll actually have to work. Sorta sucks.

Unfortunately it means that I'm going to loose about half the time I have available for the site. That really sucks.

Scott,

What part of Texas does your family live in? Me, if I had a chance I would live in Florida. I'm in Corporate Avaition and have heard those same words, we lost $$ last quarter and the aviation dept is closing this month and it seems to always happen around airshow time!!

Good luck where ever you land,

Lynn

Heh, I've narrowed it down to Florida or California. My Texas relatives moved to North Carolina so Texas is out. We'll have to see how things work out
