The have been parking Thunderbolts on the grass for years at OSH. In fact, I cannot remember ever seeing one on the hard surface in the warbird area. Examples from Kalamazoo, Lone Star, Stutsman's P-47G and most recently Butch Shroeders have all been parked on the grass. As are the Corsairs. Haven't seen them sink yet.

Well, my Oshkosh plans for the year have fallen through. Hopefully I'll have better luck next year. For those of you who do go, see if you can't get a few photos of Greg Herrick's Tri-Motor flight. I'd like to see how the Stinson Model A looks, I've only seen it in pieces.

Welp... I should be there SAT thru FRI in the 170 down in the Vintage area. Cant hardly wait to see the Warbird line up this year. At this point it is shaping up to be a good year for new Warbird and Vintage restorations or some that just have never made it into Oshkosh. That Trimotor group will be amazing to see!!! Anyone set up a meeting yet?
