I'm going to be there. I'm taking friday off from work. Got a radio that does all the freq's and a video camera. I'm going to try to catch the inbound planes doing the miltary break and landing. I'll be hanging around T-28B 8242 saturday. I'll be the maroon in the A's hat.

I used to love that place, my father was stationed there twice. If you get a chance snap some pictures of the gate guards :D

No prob! I might have some already. I'll look tonight. On kinda the same subject, I think I've read somewhere, maybe it was you, that there used to be a Hellcat gateguard there. Any idea what happened to it? I have a friend who works over on Moffett, and asked him if he could find out anything also. Maybe I'll be able to find a phone number or a email address for the base historical officer on friday, if they still have one.

Yes, this Hellcat was the topic of discussion in the forum (old archives) awhile ago and the topic can be found [urlhttp://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/vafrefugees/wix4msgboard.mv?parm_func=showmsg+parm_msgnum=1001662]here[/url]

With the big Watsonville Show over the hill, I'll be attending that one on Saturday, and will make it to Moffett on Sunday. While Nasa has a few planes on display out front, Moffett has a P-3A Orion and SP-2E Neptune on display.............Roger

I just got back. Got the T-28B doing the break, Got two L-39's doing a lot of passes. Watched a bunch of practice. And to top it off, I get back to the hovel, and the heritage flight made two passes overhead, and to really top it off, Accounting from work just called and said it's payday, she's dropping it off now....It's going to be a good weekend.

OP,

I've got the Moffett show up now on the website, and you can catch it at http://www.norcalaahs.org/airshows.htm The pictures aren't top of the line like some of the other websites, so as to save space. Currently there are some 2,500 pictures on the NorCal site..............> Roger
