The Hickory Aviation Museum in Hickory, NC is hosting a gathering of Tuskegee Airmen on Saturday, May 28th. There is a poster for the event at
http://www.hickoryaviationmuseum.org/pa ... /flyer.pdf. They will present a program honoring the 332nd Fighter Group, the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II fame. Five survivors of the 332nd will attend, along with a P-51 Mustang on display. This is a rare and unique opportunity to celebrate the achievements of an eminent group of airmen. The poster also lists a T6 Texan and a PT-17 Stearman attending. Song, speeches and presentations listed as the entertainment. No idea if they plan of flying any of the attending aircraft. But sounds like an excellent opportunity to meet some real aviation heroes.
