The Great Georgia Airshow to Revamp, Bring Best Show Yet in 2013

PEACHTREE CITY, GA (January 12, 2012) – The Great Georgia Airshow (GGAS) Board of Directors and dedicated key personnel truly appreciate the support all the enthusiastic show-goers have given over the last 14 years.
The Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City and the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, which is based at Peachtree City’s Falcon Field, have partnered to conduct this air show for many years. The air show has always been a not-for-profit venture to provide funding for the many community organizations which have been involved, as well as to support the efforts of the Dixie Wing to restore and maintain its World War II vintage aircraft.

It is with the greatest care and concern for continuing to host an exceptional show that after a thorough and careful analysis the Board of Directors decided to undertake, during 2012, a comprehensive review of all processes and put into place the level of volunteer effort, marketing, sponsorship and community support which would make the show a truly successful venture for all involved. In order to devote the time and effort required to conduct this review and restructuring, GGAS will not host a show in 2012.
The GGAS staff is looking for air show enthusiasts interested in being a part of this exciting venture…to bring the best show yet to the community in 2013! Please contact us at ggasinfo@gmail.com or visit our website at thegreatgeorgiaairshow.com.
