Sun-N-Fun 2012 27 March thru 1 April 2012

This is my first posting, I hope I have not forgotten anything important. Sun-N-Fun Airshow is 27 March thru 1 April at Lakeland Regional Airport, in Lakeland, Florida. This is said to be the Nations 2nd Largest General Avaition Airshow. This years main attraction will be the USAF Thunderbirds, they usually fly demos Friday, Sat. and Sun.This year will be my fourth year working at the Sun-N-Fun Airshow. I hope this year doesn't include a tornado. I am with the Civil Air Patrol and will be the Overall Incident Commander for the CAP Corporate Mission. We supply personnel to help with people control, guarding aircraft, logging inbound and outbound flights, man FAA, AOPA and CAP recruiting booths and monitor for distress signals. We interface with the British Air Cadets and our young people really enjoy this part of the event. We have displays showing the various parts of the CAP Program, Cadet Recruiting, Aerospace Education and Emergency Services. We bring in at least one of our aircraft and our Communations and Command Trailers for display and discussion. I hope to see and meet some of with this group. I model build, fly and dream Corsairs, especially the F4U-4 and F2G versions of this great fighter aircraft.
