It is such a long drive to get there, I just don't konw...

Me thinks I shall be there!

BTW... The Documentation Crew Chief of Project North Star indicated he took video of the 1986 Geneseo Air Show (B-17s, Liberator, Lancaster...). Perhaps I could convince him to loan it, or bring it over, and we could have WIX meet with a video. Anyone interested?

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Cool,

My first log in from work 8) Shush

Me thinks the video would be from 1989 as the Lanc did not fly until 88. It was a wet soggy year and my mother had just passed away one week before but my father and I were there to shoot the trio of bombers.

Cheers,

Eric

Got to go!

As long as the weather is good I'll be there. Can't say which day -- I'll wait to see a forecast before I commit myself.

I wonder if Micheal Potter will be there, with a certain Spitfire? I guess it's too early to speculate on that. The staggerwing is nice, but its just not the same.

Anyone have more info on the anticipated warbirds in attendance? They did pretty good last year. I'd love to see the Sabre again.

Charles

Guys, I'm confirmed like hard wood.

Should be there with the Focke-Wulf (of course!!), Harvard and probably a Pilatus P-3 if the pilot is free on that week-end.

And this year I'll be with all the Warbirds from the start!!!

Hi ... I'm supposed to be coming up in Panchito, but I haven't decided yet whether I will be staying longer than the weekend, so I might drive instead. I look forwards to meeting everyone there though. It'll be good to see Mike and Ollie again too! Cheers, and see you soon.

Hi all,

Back from vacation and catching up on all the news. I was just on the Flight-Fest website and it says that this year's show is cancelled.

http://www.flight-festottawa.com/

Anyone know what's up? Insurance woes? Hope this is not bad news for future shows.

Charles

I haven't heard a thing. I am on their volunteer list, but no explanation was given.

Regards,

Mike

I know some of the acts from last year did not get paid so I imagine it was a financial decision. I sure hope they can bounce back for next year.
