To All the New England Area WIXers,
The Colonel has asked me, in his absence from the WIX, to post this, as to the Great New England Airshow. The event is scheduled for the 14th and 15th of August. If anyone else may be planning to attend, we would like to get a roster going and try and meet up. As of this moment we have four confirmed myself and the Colonel included, and three more possible. Those of us from the (outlaw) Republic of Maine will be leaving at O-dark-thirty on the 14th and our ETA at the MATS Connie is between 1000hrs and 1100hrs local (1500hrs-1600hrsGMTfor those who perfer.) at this time. Any changes will be posted on this thread.
Regards to All
Don

Sorry, but you'll have to count me out I'm afraid. The Stowe antique and classic car show is that same weekend and I'm commited to being on the M3A1 light tanks support crew (I'm driving the M-52 tractor unit that weekend).

Please post lot's of pictures so I don't miss out completely.

I will of course be attending on the 14th baring any unforseen schedule conflicts.

I just moved here from the midwest to Hartford. Where is Westover? Also are there any airshows with a flymarket or something like it? Thanks

Looks like about 38 miles north up 91 to 291...

Click here and put in your address:

I may be in the area- is this a show worth going out of my way for?

It is quite amusing that their description link for the T-6 shows a BT-13 photo! http://explanation-guide.info/meaning/T-6-Texan.html

A MOST INTERESTING picture of a T-6, ?! This will be my first trip to Westover's open house, But, The Colonel Swears By It. Says its the best we'll have this far north. Check out the website. It looks mighty interesting.

Are you still going to be around for the show? I hope the weather holds.

Who's going Saturday? I assume we'll meet up in the Old War Bird section.

Tim,
So far, Saturday is the one. Those of us coming out of the wilds of the North plan to be at the Connie between 1000 and 1100, hoping for more like the 1000. I'll be in an F-89 or B-36 t-shirt. Unfortunately the Colonel will be unable to attend due to an unforseen trip to PARIS! 8) .
Look forward to seeing you there.
Don

Yes I will be attending, at least for part of the day. Work wanted me to goto CT and help man a truck at the Little league regionals and I told them to bugger off. Eventually a compromise was reached, where I have to go around 3 or 4pm.

We'll be bailing about the same time, Scott. Using the old "Watch the Thunderbirds as We Run Away" routine. Sometimes it even works!
