Well we will soon be restoring squadron building 819 at Wendover field in Utah. We are turning her back into a squadron building for living history presentations at the base. Photos will soon follow

The outside of the building has been painted, and areas repaired on the outside as well as the ground around the building has been cleared and looks 85% better :D

Scott - we are looking forward to this summer! Hopefully things will have evened out a bit! in other news the museum has gotten the plywood and siding to redo the west face of the nurses quarters building!

For anyone who wonders the task the AZGC has taken on is awesome - these buildings are not recreations of what it looked like - they ARE where history happened. Imagine walking through the same offices where the greatest generation trained and worked, laughed and worried.

This is an app that we recently were able to put out - The app is currently available in the Apple App Store or can be accessed online: https://web-app.cuseum.com/?450#!/

this gives you a pretty good over view of the base and the training that went on here - we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Good work so far!
To be honest, I'm just happy to see a thread here that doesn't cover yet another guy painting his own squadron patches...

Of you have specific needs and wants for detail furnishing, be sure to post them here.
I'm sure a lot of people have dad's/granddad's/uncle's WWII stuff they'd like to find a home for....footlockers, misc equipment, books and papers.
Maybe even correct furniture.

Thanks! We are going back up Memorial Day weekend to finish getting the old drywall out. We are going to retire, work plumbing and plumbing for propane later in the year. We DO need a cannon 18 stove as we have 4 of the 5 needed for the squadron building.
