Medals for Sale

Sun Jan 28, 2007 5:33 pm

Here are some medals I am offering for sale. These medals are soon going to be illegal to sell since President Bush signed the Stolen Valor Acts. PM me if you are interested.

I took these off due to the time. If you are interested in any other medals PM me.

As an update on the possesion and/or sale of medals, etc., the following site is of interest:

I got one of these last week from Corsair, and it is very nice. It makes a nice display for my gameroom.

I had heard sites like ebay and others were shutting down auctions for "valor awards" until there was clearer wording regarding collectors.

My understanding was that it was not a crime to own, purchse, or sell certain valor medals. It was only a crime if somebody wore them and falsely claimed to have been awarded them. Does anybody have any further info about this?

Check this out: http://www.omsa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1332

From reading this I intrupreted this to mean that you could own or display them (without claiming you earned them), but you couldn't sell them.

read the link, strange that there was no mention of the bronze star for bravery. my dad's most cherished ww 2 award is his c.i.b. combat infantry badge. he is a holder of the bronze star too, but he his most proud of his c.i.b., & states that most infantrymen held them in the highest regard over all awards in ww 2. he has since given the c.i.b. to me, my sister has his bronze star.

I believe the reason they didn't include the bronze star is because it isn't high enough. The Navy Cross, Air Force Cross, and Distinguished Service Cross are the highest medal under the the MoH in each branch. They only picked out the highest because they are the hardest to get, and don't want people impersonating someone who actually recieved that medal.
