In the 1960s-70s on USN carriers baseball caps
were popular with felt letters and numbers that
spelled out the squadron. Examples would include
VF-101, VS-33, VA-75, etc. Does anyone know of
a source for similar caps today??

We don't have the felt letters/numbers but can embroider them if your interested that way.

If you know the font style, and if we have it, we can print them using due sublimation as well.

Cooperstown Ball caps make excellent caps in styles from pre-1900's up through modern. They will embroider or sew on felt numbers for whatever you need. Can't recommend them highly enough. Pricey -- about $50 -- but pretty much indestructible. I've had mine for 5 years with no problems beyond some fading to the dark blue color.

How many are you looking for ... We can get pre-cut felt letters and numbers in various fonts and sizes ready to be heat pressed on a hat using our heat press.

For our ground crew living history unit we gat our hats through Cooperstown. I wear a 31 white sox cap.

Ann,
On the caps that are on the site you have on your post are they fitted or have the straps in the back? To be period correct they should be fitted and have a shorter crown.
