My father and I are Restoring a 1941 dodge wc12. 6 layers of paint were stripped off before coming across the words 44th Eng. G/S. Haven't done much research, but have found that it was used by the national guard in 1941 in Aberdeen, Maryland. I haven't really found much else on the unit so if anyone has anything or even a good place for me to start looking I would appreciate it. The truck is coming down the straight away and we are looking forward to driving it but don't want to show it off with out knowing its history.

If you haven't already seen this site, it's for the 44th Engineer Bn:
