American GI Open House March 20-21, 2009

Tue Feb 10, 2009 10:41 pm

Hello everyone,

The Museum of the American GI Open House 2009 will be held Friday and
Saturday, March 20-21, 2009. We would like to invite all military vehicle
owners and clubs, reenacting units, military surplus and military vehicle
vendors to attend.

Flea Market setup will be available on Thursday ($20 tax deductible
donation required for all sellers and RV campers). We encourage all
re-enactors and display units to come on Friday to shop and setup camps
and displays.

This year the Re-enactor Coordinator is Denny Hair (denny@mssblue.net) and
the reenactment will be of the Historical Battle "Clearing the
Palatinate", ET0 1945 19 -23 March 1945. Jeff Hunt will be the Overall
Allied Commander of Battle Scenario, while Craig Tomlinson will be the
Overall Axis Commander.

As past participants know, parking is always an issue especially if it has
rained recently. To alleviate some of the congestion, we are hoping to be
able to use a location that is near by, to offload all non-tracked
vehicles and to park trailers. More information on this will be sent
closer to the Open House date.

All military vehicle owners, clubs and reenacting units who wish to
participate are asked to register before hand. Please register by
emailing the following information to the Re-enactor Coordinator: Denny
Hair (denny@mssblue.net)

I know you are just fowarding a press release flyer on WIX, so this isn't aimed at you.

What amazes me is that I see many of these "flyers" advertising an up coming show that don't ever say WHERE THE EVENT IS LOCATED!
WHERE is the Museum of the American GI?

Does anybody think it might be a good idea to actually have that info in the press release?
I know you can search the web for it, but come on!
Jerry

The Museum is located at 1303 Cherokee St, College Station, Texas. Coming from Houston, take the Texas World Speedway exit, cross over Hwy 6 and go south on the service road to Cherokee. Turn right on Cherokee and it's the first entrance on the left.Coming from College Station, get off the exit just passed the speedway overpass and turn right on Cherokee.
