Mudge needs help

Mudge,

You should have two straps on your B3. One should hang down from the front of the vest that is adjustable and the other hangs of the side that should have a clasp. (left if I remember correctly) Bring the strap that is in front underneath and back up to your waist above your rear...Now the side strap should go behind you, through the loop on the other strap and hooking to the other side of the vest...maybe that helps.

I dont have a pic that shows how the back is...But here I am on the left during a History Channel filming for B-17's.

Texas is hot, but it's bearable. At least for some of us who were born here.

That's Trae in the middle and I'm on the right side of the photo.

Now if it gets below 50 degrees... that's cold.

Here are a series of pictures from Randolph AFB. The one's on the wing were sent to me by a LSFM member - the pictures on their website had me taken out - LOL! Trae and Harry Lawrence I count as friends from seeing them at airshows. I don't remember the gal's name.

Now as to Mudge's comment on my name - that's ok. I'm at just the upper end of the right height for WW2 pilots. I stopped getting bothered about "Short" jokes a long time ago. I learned it was easier to make them, and laugh along rather than get short-tempered about it.

That One is more correct for most war periods, trhe other came in later in the war, and was not used as much by aircrews.
