Thanks!

I had the plane half-built, and had kind of lost interest. It was about the time of the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, and I got tired of hearing everybody on TV talk about what a great victory it was for Japan. So I decided to build a model showing what Pearl Harbor eventually led to...

I am working on a P-51 racer that is bellied in to the end of a runway, but I am still working on it. It is my first one, and that PBY in the first post, makes mine look like nothing.

Here's a few I completed a while back. I put these in another thread as well somewhere on here. I think the dioramas are cool because they can tell a story and also they obviously show scale. However, sometimes a great diorama can be done with other items like patches and stuff. I haven't really had time to do anything new, I can't wait thought to jump back into it. I have a couple of really good ideas, just need the time!

Waltz41..Beautiful work. Are the Mustangs 1/48th scale? Where did you get your figurines? I'm trying to do a carrier deck diaorama with a F4F. I'm looking for carrier deck people or some figures I can paint to represent carrier deck plane handlers...my F4F is 1/32nd scale.

Tom, yes, everything is 1/48th. Eduard makes a 1/48th scale US air corp figure set, has a few in there and then Verlinden makes some 1/48th scale stuff like the barrels, crates, etc.

Your best bet is try squadron.com. Do a search. They have a ton of stuff.

Hey Waltz, nice looking dioramas! I was just looking at your collection over on the MHII forum.

Nice Waltz! What color green is that on the P-40?

This is my first one, and it is not done yet, but I thought I would show you all what I have so far.

Very cool. Love those crash scenes.

Nice build Mustangdriver. Is that the Revellogram 1/48 kit? I've built a few of them...

The Diorama looks good, the only thing I'd recommend is a thinner antenna wire, and maybe trying to show where the props dug into the ground, not just the fuselage...

Nice job on the build and the base.

Ive already put these two on, but here's my BoB diorama with a pair of Sweet Hurricanes. I had to buy a second set to be able to swap out the decals so i could make two of the same squadron. The second is my CBI diorama that includes the Japenese pilot bailing out.
