I wanted to invite eveyone to check out Restorations Illustrated at www.buffiesbest.com. I have been taking photos of restorations and airplanes in general for many years and thought that others (modelers, aviation nuts like myself) would also find them useful. The first CD was on the restoration of two Me-109 G-10's. You can see the reviews and a few pics at http://www.buffiesbest.com/me109_cd.html

The second CD in the series will be released in about a week and will cover the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. There will be hundreds of photos of the restoraition of the Evergreen Aviation P-38 L-5 as well as on camera interviews with 11 former pilots and two interviews specifically covering the challenges of recovering and restoring these great airplanes (one with Bob Cardin of Glacier Girl fame and one with Bob Garrett of Classic Jets Fighter Museum in Australia.

I am hoping that I can help others on this forum as well with photos and information.

Thanks!

Derek Brown

Derek,

Would you happen to have any photos of P-38s while in Honduras or Guatemala?

Saludos,

Tulio

Hello Tulio

The best I can do are pictures of the Kermit Weeks aircraft - it was doing photo work in South America when it crashed. Sorry - but I dont have any shots of 38's in the markings you seek.

Cheers!

Derek
