Thanks for posting those, my poor old tired eyeballs needed it today. The Corsair is very nice, but that Mustang is simply out of this world! Fine Art, indeed. 8)

This shot is the real killer for me -- that bubble is just plain REAL looking. Looks like the perfect miniature of a blown canopy, alright....

So what does 'blown' mean, anyway, when used in the context of a 'blown canopy'? Can anyone shed some light on how canopies like this are manufactured?

My understanding is that these are actual glass and would be manufactured by being blown in to a mold. Molten glass bubble blown in a female mold.

I could be wrong and don't hesitate to add better info. :wink:
