DING-DING-DING-DING :supz: :supz:
The quite probable reason your suggestion never went anywhere with the decal makers is simple---------N.I.H.
They didn't think of it so it must not be worth considering, after all who are you besides the end user who wants it foolish boy! But be sure and check out our hot new Moldavian horse drawn artillery sheets in 1/87th scale only.

Howzabout group fin/wing decals triangles and letters, B's J's, H's, etc?

You mean like these? (also available in 1/48)

http://www.kits-world.com/index.php?CATEGORY=5&SUB=1&THISPAGE=1&RADIOSORT=4&PICFILE=72&STKNR=72&STRH=3332&ORDN=2491&RNZ=171443

And for those interesting in building the Liberty Belle, check Kitsworld's front page...

I've got a couple of Kitsworld's sheets. The quality of the artwork is stunning, although I haven't used them yet, so I can't comment on how well they perform.

Awesome! Now after 27 years of work I can finally finish that epic HO scale diorama of the Russo-Turkish War of 1710-1711, which takes up my entire basement.

Of course you were aware of the field ordered changes to all uniform buttons and belt buckles in mid 1710 weren't you?

The Liberty Belle decals by Kitsworld viewable here:
http://www.kits-world.com/index.php?CAT ... RNZ=938733
Still not available yet, but at least you get to see the sheet. Doesn't include the civil registration but it shouldn't be too hard to replicate.

BTW, I vote for the option with no stars and bars too.

I'm starting to really hate kits-world...for making me want to build more B-17's than I could have room for!

Liberty belle is also available in 48th.

Looks like I'll have to start thinking about stocking up on B-17 kits.

Hi everyone,

New here, but I came across this thread last night and am hoping for an update. Would LOVE to have a Fuddy Duddy decal set for my Monogram kit (1/48). Anything ever come of this?

Thanks,

Joe

Hey guys, it's not a dead topic by anymeans. What we are doing is looking at having only the markings needed for the aircraft on the sheet. For example we already get starts and bars with the kit, so we can cut that out. We are working with a few different guys to see what ideas they come back to us with. The plan is to do 1/72 and 1/48th to start.

News is on the way. Working with a great decal maker in his free time. But I think we are going to have something this summer with the aircraft that allowed us to replicate their nose art. A certain Organization stated that their nose art is copyrighted and would not allow us to replicate the art work.

Well, back in the day, SLIXX Decals couldn't come to an agreement with E--ON/H-MBLE Oil over doing the 'Days of Thunder' (oh STOP!) Monte Carlo SUPERFLO car. SLIXX did a basic sheet with numbers, associate sponser decals and other things, and these weird, misshappen bits and pieces of decalling all over the sheet, which when put together, suddenly became all the bits ands pieces needed to make up the SUPERFLO quarter panel logos, required a gallon of MICRO SOL and a wallpaper paste brush to do it but.......... just sayin'
