His second, a Revell 1/48 B-25.
This one is a little difficult for his skill level but the one he chose from my unbuilt shelf. Isn't model building great for our kids! They're learning patience, gaining confidence and building motor skills. He's even learning how to use an airbrush. It even teaches me patience with him. Models now hanging from the ceiling in his bedroom. Pass it on to the next generation.........John

He's also learning spatial relationship and the ability to look at something and then turn it over in his head a trait that is sadly lacking in 99+% of younger people today as I saw first hand teaching CFRP to Boeing new hires who'd never worked on anything other than how to twitch their thumbs and had no ability to figure out how things fit together.
He and you are both doing a bang up job and you're passing on legacy and knowledge to him the assembly looks great and it really is an advantage starting with a challenge, it's like riding a motorcycle always ride one that's got enough left to spook you a bit so you don't get complacent.
NICE JOB TO BOTH!!!!

Thats awesome!! Great build!!

Long live hand-eye coordination that doesnt involve a television and a game controller. Models are one of the greatest things a young person can do IMHO, what can be learned from them is endless, and who knows where that knowledge can be applied later in life (I credit model building greatly with what I accomplish everyday in my career).

......NOT TO MENTION THE QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR CHILD.....congrats to you both
