A good old H9 Jug, nice. They are great flyers Greg, you will love it I'm sure. Looks like maybe a DLE 20 up front, yes? I really like the new Razorback version and may go for one of them in the future but only if I can't come up with enough dollars to get their new 60cc Corsair! I love to build and don't do too many ARF's but below is one my brother and I picked up off of Craig's list a couple of weeks ago for a smokin' price, Top Flite Staggerwing. It seems to be an exceptionally well done model in ARF terms and I can't wait for some cooler weather so we can get it out to the flying field. If it turns out to be a really good flyer then it will most likely get some additional detail and a new finish. The Monokote covered wings and tail surfaces are OK but are the weak point of what otherwise is a really nice model.

Here are the other two ARF's that we are currently flying, a Kangke Monocoupe and EcomRC Scottish Aviation Bulldog. Both are terrific flyers.

I haven't flown anything of Top Flite's but everybody seems to be happy with the way their planes fly, I expect the Staggerwing is no exception. If you're going to change the scheme anyway maybe you can sheet the wings and stabs in the process?

The P-47 has three full flights on it now and one that ended abruptly (ran out of fuel on takeoff just as the gear came up), I'm very happy with the way it flies. I don't normally use dual rates and I set up throws to be almost what they recommended for high rates, I think I'll back them down to about half way in between the high and low recommendations.

The engine is an RCGF 20 and I'm also very happy with it so far. I was having cold start issues at first but my choke pushrod was hitting the firewall preventing full travel. I got that taken care of and she'll start in three flips now after a few flips with ignition off and choke on.

Their new razorback P-47 does look like a very nice plane and there are a lot of improvements over this older version. The panel lines, flat finish and servos internal in the fuse were the things that stuck out to me. I debated on whether or not to move my rudder and elevator servos inside because they drive me crazy in the stock locations but I wanted to get it into the air this year. My flying time starts after the two year old goes to bed and the days are starting to get short!

Actually the stabs are already sheeted so I would probably just glass them. I'm pretty sure the wings on the full size are fabric covered as well as the rudder and elevators.

Our Monocoupe seen above has an RCGF 15cc gasser on it. I've only got the recommended break in time on it plus a couple of flights but, so far, it has been very user friendly. Enjoy the Jug and I hope it provides you with many years of reliable service.

Haven't flown RC planes for decades now, but have thought about getting back into it now that I have a little more time. By the way, my first RC radio was a reed system with huge servos! Back then you had to have a lot of engine to carry the receiver, servos, batteries, etc. aloft!
