What are the wires from the wingtips to the vertical stabilizer? Antennae of some sort? If so, what do they send/receive?

Thanks for asking! As far as I know, there just for sending / receiving radio signals. To be honest I really don't know as I'm their are WAAAAAY more qualified individuals that could answer that. That being said, I've seen this mockup on many P-40s, P-36s before. Here is some info on it.
