Thanks man! Yeah, instead of a train table we've got a plane table for the airplane lover. Including all sorta of hangars, buildings, sceneary, accent pieces, etc.

Great, I love how even the EAA and CAF tramp stamps are there. All it needs is some people, get yourself a pack of N scale railroad passengers, they'll be just slightly under scale but nobody will notice. What's a fly-in without spectators!

Nice! I haven't seen those kits..they definitely look far superior to the Minicraft 1/144 B-17 (which is a re-pop of the ancient Crown mold.)

Thanks Steve! They are waaaaaaaaay better than the old Minicraft / Crown Kit. Finally. But their now hard to find.

They weren't this expensive when they first came out.

I noticed the other week Kitsworld no longer has the CAF and EAA birds on their website. I was shocked to see the CAF ones in the first place and assumed they did them without permission. I'm guessing that was the case and were asked to take them down. That's why I purchased mine the second I saw them available. Too bad for modelers (like me) who like to build current Warbirds. You can still find some of them on Ebay.

Considering that we're viewing those on our screens at about 4x life size, they look terrific.

Is it possible to remove the props and get at the engines for painting? They could use a thin wash of black I think.

Apart from overly prominent chin turrets those do look a big improvement on the old Crown. I have the Lanc from the same series redone in 6th Group marks, and it too is a lot better, probably than the Amodel too.

The diorama setup is really cute. You may have inspired me to do something of the kind soon.

Thanks August. Yeah I don't know why these shots didn't resize. My father found a way to remove the engines, thus making it possible to repaint the cowlings.

Cute?! Well that wouldn't have been my first choice to describe it but I appreciate it none the less. It really is practical given the scale. Unless of course you want to take over the entire basement and do it in either 1/72 or 1/48. I need to order more trees in fact.
