Am about to maiden my Duck, anyone out there build one of these would be curious as to where you put the CG and flight characteristics. My Duck is about 10 foot x 10 foot w/3w 150 twin gas engine spinning a 3 blade Hamilton Standard variable pitch prop. New to site, also looking for a good spare prop for my full scale Broussard......thanks! ken

No Duck here Ken but I've built many a scale model and 25-28% of the total wing area has always been a safe place to start. Once you've flown it and trimmed it out then start moving the CG back until you find the sweet spot. I'm sure the Duck, with those big constant chord wings, would probably fly OK at 30-33% but why tempt fate on the first flight? Love to see some pics of the big Grumman if you are willing to share.

Good luck!
