Been flying rc for a bit, still learning, here’s a bit of a selection from
the hanger, can’t help myself used to be a plastic modeller most of
my rc jobs get a re-paint.

Dynam RAAF Catalina (1470cm span)
Image

Image

Ultra micro DR1 (358mm span)
Image

Ultra micro RNZAF P40E (401mm span)
Image

Ultra micro RAAF Mosquito (520mm span)
Image

Ultra micro RAAF Mustang, (410mm span) modeled on the first one assembled
in Australia and the only Mustang to wear camouflage in the country.
Image

Ultra micro Flying Fortress (660mm span) painted as a RAF Coastal Command
machine
Image

Modified an ultra micro Mustang (493mm span) to a CA15 “Kangaroo.”
Image

Image

Another modded ultra micro Mustang back dated to a razorback.
Image

Painted in the markings of a 3sqn RAAF machine that flew in Italy during WWII.

Thanks Scott, here's a few more.....

Another ultra micro Mustang with less mods, replicating a machine that flies
in New Zealand. Incorporated a feature where the pilot waves connected to
the rudder servo as did Ray Hanna in the movie Empire of the Sun.
Image

Image

The famous Reno racer Strega upgraded from 3.7 to 7.4 volts which believe
it or not makes a big difference and she is small (410mm span) so have to
watch her carefully, the colour scheme really helps with this.
Image

Strega was built from an ex RAAF machine A68-679.
Image

Keeping the Reno racer theme going converted another ultra micro Mustang
(410 mm span) to a Yak 3 in the markings of Graham Frew’s New Zealand based
machine that has raced at Reno on two occasions.
Image

Where she came from with a couple of her brethren.

The Mustang/ Kangaroo conversion is brilliant, great job.

I repainted my Wildcat, mostly because I couldn't see it in the air. Three color blue worked a lot better.
Your repaints are great.

The Dove of Peace routine at Wanaka 2018 included a wave, as well as a 'Hanna' dive into the river valley below the airfield.

Thank you for the comments, few more from the fleet.......

Ultra micro Thunderbolt (482 span) painted in the not as often modelled South
East Asian Conflict scheme
Image

The same model as above modded to a later model bubble canopy flown by
Gabby Gabreski out of England in WWII. Found some references with the
canopy frame painted blue have since re-painted silver
Image

Ultra micro Wildcat (515mm span) repainted as a Royal Navy machine, small
mod made the fin taller to replicate a later model.
Image

Fortunate to see the real one a couple of years ago.

A couple of British bi-plane conversions.

Turned this little (388mm span) ultra micro Stearman into an Avro Cadet.
Image

Image

Another British biplane and one of my more ambitious undertakings, converted
an ultra micro Waco (550mm span) into a Gloster Gladiator.
Image

Image

Image

Two cell 7.4 volt Lipo battery, motor and receiver set up.
Image

Way back where the above started out.

Thank you, three twins from one............

Ultra micro B25 (550mm span) got a re-paint and modded to an all nose gun
version, the RAAF never had the strafer version of the B25, just couldn’t resist
all those .50s! With the top turret facing forward these versions could have 14
machine guns facing forwards, some serious fire power!

Image

Converted ultra micro B25 Mitchell to a RAAF Lockeed Neptune.
Image

Image

Where she came from.
Image

A third B25 conversion to an Avro Manchester.

Was unaware of the "Kangaroo", so I looked it up and collected some public domain photos and put together this post for others that were unaware of this aircraft.

told story of Australian Aviation and manufacturing.
