This was too fun to not purchase on a recent run to the hobby shop. A "cartoon" model of the B-24J - it is one step above a snap together kit in my opinion but a lot of fun. The museum curator in Wendover and I are thinking about putting a group build together based on this kit - we will see!

Anyway I could not let well enough alone and painted the tail like a 373rd sq plane in the 308th BG. The decals are loosely based on the 834th BS - "the Zodiac Squadron" I need to paint the props and touch up the ADF antenna base but here she is!

Hope you enjoy and I would recommend this one for sure!

Meng models - although thier website does not show the B-24, not sure why - I just got mine this month. However they do have a B-17.

Love it, that's a lot of fun. I have built a few egg planes, I put them on the Christmas tree.

Well this is turning into a bad habit. . . . LOL

Lesson learned - 1/72nd scale decals work - sort of - the stars and bars are way to big. as is the lettering. But, I did get a fairly decent 100th BG plane out of the decals I bought! "Nine little Yanks and a Jerk" a 351st BS plane.

I think I want ot talk the museum into doing a group build of Wendover Bomb Groups and somehow get everyone to send them to us to display them. Just a goofy fun thing to do.

Enjoy!
