I only completed three models this year, but this one's my favourite: Karaya's 1/48 scale Vickers Type 161 COW Gun Fighter of 1931. The COW gun was a British-designed 37-mm automatic cannon, developed during WW1 for attacking bombers. Vickers mounted it in the fuselage nacelle to fire upwards, with the pilot's seat offset to port in order to accommodate it. This is the second Karaya kit I've built, with a couple more in the stash.

Man, that seems like a very complicated way to do things. I guess nobody had the idea of a simple tractor fuselage with cannon where the forward cockpit would be and the pilot seated behind the cannon?

Silly Brit's.

Love the look of this one, I've never built anything like it, the way the engine is mounted, let alone the cannon. Nice job.
