OK I ran out of Testors Model Scale Masters spray while doing a Naval Fighter. What is an acceptable or close to color Krylon Spray paint ?

What color? I generally try to stick to model paints for models, since sometimes hardware store paints can damage a plastic model.

Since Krylon aqquired Testors they have phased out the Model Masters line of paints. I was curious if there are krylon colors available thatmatch the ones that have been discontinued. FS numbers are not followed and its a toss up as to the color closeness.

On a model forum I have read that some (among the minority without air brushes) use Krylon for primers and some too costs (like Hughes Airwest yellow) so it is safe on plastic.

I bought a can of light gray for the underside of the Atlantis B-25.
Obviously, if you are doing an IPMS contest build of a $80 Tamiya kit, you want FS color match, but for a fun build of a inexpensive kit, why not?
