There was a report this morning on the local CBC radio station that a deHavilland Beaver crashed in the Ottawa River yesterday near Ottawa. Apparently the wreck was found by spotting the floats first. I didn't get the pilots name, but he IS NOT Michael Potter (that is the only person I know in the area with a Beaver, not that I would know many anyway). Unfortunately the pilot did not survive.

I will post more if I hear more.

Mike

Apparently they were practicing touch and goes... He dove into the river while on final.... Could be a heart attack...

We feared it was Mike Potter as he also owns a Beaver. So sad to hear.
