Haven't heard anything lately, but Kimballs were working steadily on it last I heard, wing was unskinned and getting ready for re-skinning-

hey, now this really grabs me. next up somebody build an orion. for passengers, was there a commode aboard a Vega? can't wait for airshow season! i mean, i hope i one day get to see this plying the blue sky.

It is aluminum. They made 9 Vegas with aluminum fuselages, IIRC.

This is the old Tommy Thomas plane out of Oklahoma....he tried to fly it several times in the mid 80s and ground-looped it several times IIRC....

Is it just me or do those struts look like they don't release evenly? Is it particularly squirrelly on the ground?
