Photos from a July mid-week fly-in at the grass strip in Hagerstown, IN. Lots of great antique and classic aircraft!

The Hagarstown event this year will be Tuesday July 14. We can also celebrate Bastille Day and Kermit Weeks' birthday...

Also, there will be a Barnstorming Carnival featuring many of the same aircraft at Springfield, Ohio on July 11 and 12.

Thanks for the information on next year's event, Baldeagle. My 2014 visit was the first time I'd even heard of the Hagerstown event and it's something I will definitely be going back to- and definitely something that was worth taking the day off work for! Just a great atmosphere for a gathering of vintage aircraft, and a lot of airplanes too.

The Barnstorming Carnival looks like a fun event as well, and something I will be thinking about attending.

Brilliant. Oshkosh would be jealous of the antique lineup shown in those photos.

Anyone make it this year? I unfortunately couldn't after weather pushed to event to Wednesday. Just couldn't roll the day off over a day. From the Facebook posts, it sounds like there was a good turnout of people and planes.

They said that we had the biggest crowd ever. With the severe storms coming through on Tuesday they decided to use the reverse 911 phone system to notify people not to come out to the airport that day, but to wait until Wednesday. Apparently it calls all the houses in the county, and a lot of people who didn't know about the fly-in then found out, and came on Wednesday. For a while they were out of parking spots. There were about 30 antique airplanes there, and the two ride hopper biplanes did a booming business. I'll see if I can find some photos.
