:badpc: Ok, I think I got my link to photobucket working.

I purchased this antique aircraft wheel at an estate sale, part of a former collection belonging to a very old gentleman. The story that went along with it, via the heirs of this gentleman, and it may well be just that,... a story, I have been unable to validate anything. The story goes , that this elderly man acquired this wheel along with some other pieces from an airfield shop, during or shortly after Mr. Lindberg's presence there. As this was a small town at the time, it was assumed that this wheel may have been in the possession, or may have been worked on by Mr. Lindberg, as he was more of a mechanic than a flyer as this juncture of his life. It was stated that Mr. Lindberg, in his spare time or while working on someone's plane would fly about/over the town on numerous occasions , ( much to the chagrin of the inhabitants)....the physical identifiers of this artifact are ...tire markers ,......size 24x4 , numerous red/orange diamonds on sidewalls , Goodrich Airplane Silvertown . it has a hub greaser, and one air valve stem , these aren't clearly seen in the photo, I will try to post more later. Can anyone tell me what type of plane this may have come from?
Thank you.
