Restoration Of Piper Cub From 'Flight of Passage'

A neat thread on the restoration of the Piper Cub that was flown coast to coast in 1966 by two brothers and documented in the fantastic book Flight of Passage.

Great adventure book. Glad the bird is in good hands!

I agree. It's a great book...funny, edge of your seat flying and gives the reader a sense of what its like to cross the country in a 'simple', single engine plane while fighting the elements and having fun while doing it. Flying formation with crop dusters, chasing a locomotive, trying to gain altitude to cross through the Guadalupe Gap, sleeping under a wing...just a great book.
It would make a solid movie...
