Hello,

Our association (https://www.bapa.aero & https://www.facebook.com/BAPA-Belgian-A ... 476983916/)
) is trying to save a former SABENA's training school Cessna 310.
The goal is to restore the plane for static display in its former "colours" of the SABENA

In the current pandemic situation, organizing a transport for a plane stored outside at a remote location is not easy and we will be interested by any information about to how to properly transport this plane disasembled : mostly what / where support point could be used for transport of the fuselage and the wings, as we have to build cradle without having the plane on hand to build them.

With the engine nacelle part of the structure the wings are not the simpler parts to transport on a "regular" trailer.

Any information or link to an association of owner's, to other general aviation forum will be strongly appreciated.

Best Regards

Loïc

Hi Iclo.
I don't have specific experience with a C-310. Though I would reccommend having a lot of tires on hand. They offer a fair amount of support and if carefully placed, they won't do any damage. They also give a lot of flexibility.

Best of luck with the project.

Andy

Hi, the EAA Chapter 993 in Pennsylvania restored one of Jimmy Stewarts 310's, they found it in Dallas and had to take it apart, maybe contact them?
