As requested here are some shots of Bob Odegaard's beautiful F2G Super Corsair. Sorry about the color artefacts, for some reason the JPEG format is particularly harsh on red.

This first batch was taken at South St. Paul Flemming Field in 2001

Thanks Ollie.

Time for a short tech explanation. JPEG is what is known as a "lossy" compression algorithm, what this means is data is thrown away to reduce file size while still attempting to maintain image quality. Due to the way JPEG works, you often get banding and splotches in large solid colored areas, especially at higher compression settings(like for web images). For whatever reason(I'm not a graphics guy), any JPEG compression artefacts are much more likely in any areas that are a shade of red.

Hi,

My previous links don't work but this one seems to.

Here is the link to my pictures of #57 when she was at two of the past Cleveland Air Shows several years ago.

Thanks for the pics.

The F2G is a very beautiful aircraft and i love.

kennsmithf2g,
The link don't active.

Do you have pics without engine cover to see the installation of the R-4360. It's for a model kit.

I previous to build the F4U-1 WM and the F2G in 1/48 and 1/32 scale.

Spang,

I don't know why the links to my aol photoalbums don't work anymore. I don't get anywhere thru aol help either. I also tried photobucket but it bombs out my computer. I will e-mail you some stuff.

Kenn

Hi,

Now that I have this figured out, here are a few more photos that I took at several Cleveland Air Shows.
