Boeing will announce Tuesday that, as expected, they will carve out space on the Northwest corner of the Everett campus to build the manufacturing facility for the 777X wing assemblies. At 114 feet long per side and 24 feet of chord, they would be a bit more than unwieldly to move any distances.
(thinking beyond the edges, this could also make it easier to start cranking out a Boeing built 787 wing)
With the X coming on, Boeing now has to crankup the 'year end models sales event' to keep the regular 777 line selling to keep folks in place and sell around 300 or so 'regular' 777's.
Stay tuned-
