Awful news indeed! Condolences to the co-pilots family and friends. I hope the pilot recovers soon. Sad week for the commercial space program with both major incidents. I understand now that the Virgin failure was due to a premature deployment of the "feathering action" which transitions the craft into its shuttlecock mode.

I've yet to see a photo of the potentially luckiest sailboat in Virginia which temporarily halted the failed Cygnus launch.
