As of now, yes they still plan on making Reno. It will be pretty cool if they're able to show up to the races as the new world record holder.

I keep telling Mrs. WIX that but she insists there is some sort of law about it.

Today's Bronze race featured a P-40, a Mark 9 Spit, a Yak-3, an FM-2, an FG-1D, & 2 P-51's (a D and an A). Yak won and the Spit was tail end Charlie

After winning the silver race today, he certainly has a fan club in Section 3!

The Full Noise team posted a video on Facebook where they visited Section 3, they were a hit! Graeme and Full Noise were bumped up to the Gold race which is incredible considered they weren't able to qualify and started from last place in the very first heat. There are a LOT of Kiwi warbird fans who are now race fans!

Here's the Bronze results:

Silver just finished and it looked like Robbie Patterson 1st, John Maloney in Spam Can 2nd and John Muszala II in Shanty Irish 3rd. Silver was all Mustangs - seems appropriate considering how many of the entries are polished NMF!

And it's all over for another year. Fierce battle between Voodoo and Strega for the Gold title.

Thanks for the updates...

Looks like Dreadnought was fighting for the lead too....

Just out of curiosity, why wasn't Strega there last year ?

Until next year....

Just got back, first time. Awesome. Unlimited Gold ,Strega vs. Voodoo, what a race. Lead changes, strategy, I was told that it was maybe the best Gold race ever. The sound of those two together, side by side, unbelievable. Doing the 8+ miles per lap in a minute. It changed when Voodoo and Strega had to adjust when they started to lap the slower plane, Full Noise. Full Noise won in Silver and made the decision to race in Gold, could have stayed in Silver, but coming this far , go for gold. They weren't "bumped" to Gold. 5 days of awesome.

Reno was great this year. The silver and Bronze classes were great to see and watch.
Here are a few random images that I shot and have processed (I shot 4 32mb SD cards worth).
