Hi
For 40 years I've been a fan of the Putnam aeronautical series, ever since I found "US Military Aircraft Since 1909"...arguably the best book on American aircraft ever printed.

I'd like a copy of "Vickers Aircraft..." and AVRO Aircraft.
Anybody have one they like to sell?

Or I can trade 1st editions of Putnam's "McDonald Douglas Aircraft" (the rare single volumn book) and "Lockheed Aircraft".

I also have a very rare second edition of US MIlitary Aircraft (1972) that I'd be willing to part with along with a 1968 edition od "US Naval Aircraft".

Thanks

John, have you come across http://www.abebooks.com yet? Lots of Putnam titles there.

Cheers, Rob

Yes, I've often looked there, however I was hoping to deal with a US-based WIE-er directly and avoid the international money-order hassle....and I do dislike giving my credit card number out over the internet.
Thanks for the suggestion though. :D

Have you seen this site? They look like they are pre-read but that may be the only way to get some of these books. http://www.aeroplanebooks.com/seriesPutnam.htm

Found these Putnam books today:

Aeroplanes of the RFC (Military Wing)
by J.M Bruce

Aircraft of the RAF since 1918
by Owen Thetford

British Aviation: The Great War and Armistice
by Harald Penrose

British Naval Aircraft since 1912
by Owen Thetford

Japansese Aircraft 1910 - 1941
by Robert Mikesh & Shorzoe Abe

All are priced at US$20, with the exception of the Japanese Aircraft book, which is $35.00

All are in great shape. I did not buy any, but if someone is interested, I can buy them for you, and mail them (you of course, pay for the mailing expenses and the books, I'll just do you the favor of purchasing the books).

Saludos,

Tulio
