I recently published a 64 page softback book on a British design by Hawker that you could consider a "British Thunderchief". The prototype was part completed when cancelled in 1959.

Lavishly illustrated, this book examines Sir Sidney Camm's work to develop a successor to the Hawker Hunter firstly with the P.1103 to meet the RAF Specification F.155T for a rocket plus jet interceptor and the later attempts to produce a multirole aircraft in the shape of the P.1121. This book examines the airframe, engines, weapons, radar and avionics with their influence on the development of the aircraft themselves. The book draws on archive sources and interviews with the personnel involved.

Feedback so far on the book has been very positive.
