I have for sale a limited edition Franklin Mint 1:96 scale B-17F "Memphis Belle" signed by Robert Morgan. This is a limited edition # 983/1945. The model comes with certificate of authenticity and all paperwork, but not the original box. The boxes these came in were just styrofoam with no graphics, so no huge loss there; I will package carefully in bubble-wrap and ship USPS Priority Mail. A few things about the plane...it has a bit of dust here and there, is missing the pitot tube on the right side of the nose and the radio antenna on the tail spine. I did not notice these when I purchased the aircraft a while back, and they are hardly noticeable, but they do keep it from being "mint." I made a replacement pitot out of thin wire and was going to do the same for the radio antenna, but have decided to sell instead. Anyone with basic modeling skill could probably replace the 2 missing items and no one would be the wiser! I will include the pitot I made, but it's far from perfect. All guns and propellers are intact, the bomb bay doors open, the rear crew door opens, the top of the fuselage is removable to display the detailed interior, and the landing gear are fully retractable, although the right main gear does not like to stay retracted. I'm sure that would just take some minor adjusting of the mechanism, but I didn't want to risk breaking it so always displayed gear down. I have described the condition as best I can, but please let me know if you have any questions. These are fairly sought after, and I haven't seen too many come on the market. Pictures available upon request. $119 OBO plus actual cost of shipping. If interested, please e-mail me at matm1121@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest!
