Warbird Information Exchange

One of my kids teachers gave this part to me and despite my best efforts, I cannot identify it. Any help identifying what it is and or what it came out of appreciated!

One parts search says "position light flasher"and another says "fuse". Doesn't say for what aircraft.

Interesting, thank you. I could almost buy the flasher since it has two sets of contacts and a cam on the bottom, but not fuse unless it is a very complicated application.
