Hello,

Trying to come up with a not traditional (olive drab) but authentic for the period (World War 2) for the Piper Liaison Aircraft.
Specifically the L4 designation used by the USAAF or the NE-1 used by the USN and USMC. My searching so far shows the USMC in the Russell Islands with the NE-1 and perhaps a blue camouflage. Have not seen it in color, just black and white with a description of blue camouflage on top with typical gray on undersides. Also have seen a very interesting shot of an L4 from Hartlee Field in Denton, Texas with a light camouflage (perhaps sand), again in black and white and difficult to decipher to stay true to history.
Any references, ideas, photos appreciated much.
