I took my youngest to the Air Guard Museum at MSP on Saturday, it has been a few years since my last visit, and I was pleasantly surprised to see some new paint on the KC-97, T-28, T-33 and the C-47. The P-51 has new drop tanks, but still sports the tall tail...

Can anyone say why, when I google the P-51 serial, the time capsule airplane at the War Eagles Air Museum keeps coming up?

Very cool that this museum has so many airplanes open for the public. Any shots of the P-51 cockpit available?

Ken

The serial painted on the MNANG bird is the one for the War Eagles Mustang.

WD#5 lists the serial for this MNANG bird as 68-15795. It is one of the ex US Army chase Mustangs.

I have some cockpit shots on my home computer. I will upload them when I get a chance.
