The first production version of the Boeing P-8A based on the 737 left Renton WA. and went to NAS Jacksonville today where it will be used for training so it should become a familiar sight in the Florida skies very soon.

I'm surprised the P-8's development has been so quiet. In this day of delays and cost overruns, the P-8A has been quietly moving along on schedule and at least as far as I can find fairly close to cost. Considering that this aircraft really is only a "737 variant" in name with the number of modifications made to it, Boeing's done a fine job.
